Place for short articles, mentions, ect. <snip>A little footnote about Luke: In a recent party at the Hotel Bel-Air, the Welsh actor, who essays Zeus in “Immortals,” surprised us by singing a few lines of “Kailangan Kita.” It turns out that, prior to his film career, he starred in West End productions, including “Miss Saigon,” where he appeared as Chris. He rattled off the names of Filipino actors he had performed with, including Leo Valdez, who played The Engineer. Another one was Jake Macapagal, who was the one who taught him “Kailangan Kita.” Luke, who has been to the Philippines, raved about Boracay.<snip> SourceI had no idea what “Kailangan Kita” is. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kailangan_Kitawww.musicaddict.com/mp3/kailangan-kita.html

Mickey seems to like him a lot. Mickey Rourke on 'Immortals,' His Current Passion Project, and 'Sonofabitch' Darren Aronofsky
<snip>Do you have anybody else in mind to co-star in the movie? I do, but I don't think I'm at liberty to say. Maybe one of the people happens to be in 'Immortals,' but you'd have to guess.
Henry Cavill might be hard to get after 'Man of Steel.' You guessed way wrong.
Kellan Lutz? You're going to have to go have a time-out.
Uh-oh. Well, Luke Evans happens to be Welsh. [Pause]. A very great actor. He's going to have a monster career. I'd put my money on Luke Evans.
So might he be the one you'd like to have in your rugby movie? I'm not gonna tell you, honey. But it's a great idea.<snip>
<snip>You said your dogs were the only ones you can count on in Hollywood. Is that still true? Well, that was then. If you're not dead in the ground and you can't get a job, they treat you a whole helluva lot different. It's funny, I was having a conversation with Luke Evans the other night. He said, "Oh, I've got a whole bunch of new friends. And I got a whole bunch of old friends who treat me differently." And I said, "Hey, it goes with the territory." But he said to me, "I remember now who they are." Oh, you never forget.
Are you mentoring him a little bit? No. Just having a conversation. I might not be the best one in the world to get advice from.<snip>

Under the Radar: The Cast of 'Immortals'
In many ways, every young actor strives for immortality. They work to build a career of indelible performances and unforgettable films so that their names will be heralded in conversations and discussions long after they have shuffled free of the mortal coil.
When audiences invade theaters to watch Tarsem Singh’s Immortals this weekend, they’ll see many up and coming young stars vie for their attention, hoping to capture the prize of becoming a household name for years to come. Here’s the lowdown on the fresh faces ready to duke it out in Ancient Greece:
<snip>
Luke Evans
Charged with portraying Zeus, the god of all Greek gods and king of Mt. Olympus, Luke Evans may have the most pertinent experience on his resume of any of his young castmates. Evans has already appeared in several big screen epics including Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood and W.S. Anderson’s The Three Musketeers, which only hit theaters two weeks ago. On top of that, landing this role in Immortals doesn’t even mark the first time Evans has played a Greek god. He also portrayed Apollo, the god of music and poetry, in last year’s 3D remake of Clash of the Titans. Evans has several exciting projects in line to follow Immortals: He will appear alongside John Cusack in the crime thriller The Raven as well as in both segments of Peter Jackson’s mammoth fantasy epic The Hobbit.

Mark styles Hollywood Actor Luke Evans.
It seems that Mark Woolley’s latest hangout for the past few weeks has been the creative hub that is East London. Descending into Shoreditch with Hollywood actor, Luke Evans (Clash of the Titans, Tamara Drewe, Robin Hood), Mark cut and styled Luke’s hair for an American magazine photo shoot. Luke loved his cut so much that he declared that it was the best haircut that he’d ever had – very high praise.
Electric were then brought in to style Luke’s hair for the premiere of The Three Musketeers, in which he stars as Aramis.
Then from the red carpet back to East London, Mark styled Luke for his forthcoming campaign with Police sunglasses. www.electric-hair.com/news_details.aspx?ID=69via Twitter

From the Fashion Week in Milan, Italy. BUSY BEES: “I attended the shows here last year, but this season the weather is much colder,” said Luke Evans at Diesel Black Gold’s first men’s runway show. The actor better pack up even warmer clothes, as his next stops are London and New York. The globe-trotter will eventually be heading to New Zealand to film “The Hobbit,” directed by Peter Jackson. He tweeted that he will attend the POLICE launch at Tuesday. I suppose it's held in London. twitter.com/#!/Mr_Luke_Evans/status/160025564089036800 Seems like you have to wait a bit. Police Campaign Star
One of our favourite Hollywood stars has been named the face of Police sunglasses – horaay.
Luke Evans has been recruited to represent the SS2012 Police collection which will be available from Sunglasses Shop later on this year. And it would appear the Clash of the Titans star is as excited as we are.
‘For me the Police brand represents cool, chic, masculine styles that compliment whatever I'm wearing whether it's a suit or jeans and a T-shirt with a leather jacket. It's always been a strong brand within my fashion choices and appeals to men of all ages.' He said.
The actor has impressed Police creative director Michele Aracri, who said of the relationship; He ‘is a talented actor who portrays a strong personality with intense charisma. He is passionate and instinctive, with a casually seductive appeal. Here at De Rigo, we feel strongly about these characteristics that define the Police Eyewear brand.’
Luke is best known for starring in Immortals, The Three Musketeers and Tamara Drewe. He is also set to star as Bard in the cinematic adaptation of The Hobbit. The sunglasses he wears in the forthcoming Police campaign will be on our virtual shelves come summer 2012 – we can hardly wait. www.sunglasses-shop.co.uk/news/2012/january/police-campaign-star.aspxvia @lukeevans_News
